Advancing Our Fucoidan R&D
In parallel, we are advancing an R&D program around Ascophyllum nodosum. Specifically, we use a proprietary strain selected for its fucoidan content. Fucoidan, notably, is a sulfated polysaccharide found in brown seaweed. Indeed, it’s being studied for its potential to support immune function and stress resilience. This applies across aquaculture and livestock species.
Developing Standardized Extraction
As with our sugar kelp program, this work centers on developing cultivation and extraction methods. Ultimately, these methods aim to deliver a standardized, reproducible fucoidan ingredient. This moves beyond the variability typical of wild-harvested seaweed extracts.
