Respect for the organisms we work with, ultimately, is embedded in every process. This runs from cultivating and transforming microalgae and seaweed strains to ensuring our operations have a minimal environmental footprint.
Our Mission
Pholoho’s mission is to unlock the potential of microalgae. Increasingly, this extends to seaweed as well, including our ongoing rockweed research. Specifically, we transform these organisms into high-quality active ingredients and biomolecules. These are dedicated to aquaculture and livestock performance. Through applied scientific expertise, moreover, and full control of the production process, we develop targeted solutions. These solutions strengthen larval survival, support animal immunity, and improve feed efficiency across hatchery and livestock operations.
Our Ambition
Our ambition is to deliver more than an ingredient. Instead, we provide reliable, scalable alternatives to the volatile inputs traditional feed supply chains depend on. By combining scientific rigor, environmental responsibility, and production control, accordingly, our formulations serve hatchery operators, feed manufacturers, and livestock producers directly.
Our Vision
By advancing new applications in aquaculture and animal nutrition, Pholoho asserts its vision. Specifically, we aim to make microalgae — and, through our rockweed and seaweed R&D, an expanding range of marine resources — a strategic foundation. Ultimately, this foundation is for building a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable feed industry.
